Oleh V. Bebekh

Soldier Oleh Bebeh died on January 13, 2024 in the railway hospital in Zaporizhzhia. In September 2023, the defender sustained shrapnel wounds near the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhia region. Oleh was 34 years old. He was born in the village of Parafiivka in the Chernihiv region. At the age of 2, he moved with his family to Ichnia. He studied at secondary school No. 2, then at the Kyiv Interregional Vocational School of Communications, where he obtained the qualification of a tourism organization agent and tour guide. At the school, he was engaged in boxing and football. He served in the special unit "Bars" and worked in the police for over 10 years. The man received higher education at the National Academy of Internal Affairs in the field of "Law Enforcement". He became an operative officer and then an inspector. On January 5, 2023, Oleh was called up for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sent to the 199th training center of the airborne assault troops. He held the position of operator of the airborne assault company in the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade. He defended Ukraine in the Zaporizhia direction. "He never offends, is always there, always prudent and persistent. He enjoyed authority among others, always came to help, he did not even need to be asked," they said in the Ichnianskа city council. The defender was buried in the city of Ichnia in the Chernihiv region. Oleh is survived by his mother, sister, brother and other relatives.
