Oleh V. Holoviei (Profesor)

Senior Sergeant Oleh Holovei (call sign Professor) was killed on June 6, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Zolochiv in the Kharkiv region. The soldier was blown up by an enemy mine and suffered fatal explosive injuries. The defender was 37 years old. Oleh was from the village of Sursʹko-Mykhailivsʹka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He had incomplete higher education. He was engaged in the production of wooden products, sewing covers for knives and pistols. This was both his earnings and his favorite hobby. Since 2016, the man has served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract. He took part in the ATO / JFO in Donbas. He met the full-scale invasion together with his comrades-in-arms. At that time, Oleh held the position of battery sergeant of the anti-aircraft missile division of one of the units. "He was an initiator, loved his battery and comrades-in-arms, did everything for the guys, they were one family. I even quarreled with him because of this. I said: 'You do too much for them, because you also have us, you are also needed by us.' There are no words to say and write how much I and the children love him, how the son looks out the window and waits for dad..." said the wife of the fallen Hanna. "A true warrior, son, husband, father, friend, comrade-in-arms, a good person! He was killed for our Ukraine. For each of us! Oleh will forever remain in the memory of everyone who has ever communicated with him. Eternal and bright memory to our Oleh. May the Lord choose the softest and most comfortable cloud for him," wrote Olesya Kuzmenko. The defender was buried in the village of Nadiyivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. At home, his parents, wife and two children were waiting for him.
