Oleh V. Horkavchuk

Born on September 27, 1981, in the city of Lutsk, Volyn region. Graduated from secondary school No. 20 in Lutsk, then from Vocational Technical School No. 6 in Lutsk (now Volyn College of the National University of Food Technologies). Worked at the Private Joint Stock Company "Volynholding" (the urban-type settlement of Torchin, Lutsk district, Volyn region). On April 28, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a rifleman in the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukachevo, Transcarpathian region). Participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On March 22, 2016, Senior Soldier Horkavchuk was killed during the shelling of a checkpoint near the village of Pisky in the Yasynuvata district of Donetsk region. On March 28, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Ozdiv, Lutsk district, Volyn region.
