Oleh V. Humeniuk (Lastivka)

27-year-old military Oleh Humeniuk (call sign Lastivka) was killed on November 15, 2023 near the village of Bohdanivka in Donetsk region. The group he was part of came under enemy fire. The FPV drone strike was taken by the fighter, protecting his comrades who were wounded but survived. Oleh was from Khmilnytskyi region. He studied at Kamianets-Podilskyi Gymnasium No. 4. He then obtained professional education as a crane operator, car repair specialist, and driver. In civilian life, he worked as a minibus driver. He loved his job, as he was always fascinated by cars. During the full-scale war, the man went to the front to protect his loved ones from the enemy. Oleh served in the 107th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a driver-medic. "The pain in the soul after the death of the husband is indescribable. He was the best father for our daughter. He knew about my second pregnancy for 48 hours, was very happy to become a father again, but unfortunately was killed. He was a very kind person, always eager to help people. His comrades-in-arms were not afraid to go on duty with Oleh, because they were confident in him, as he had saved lives many times. We miss the loving husband, son, daddy very much... Eternal memory to the Hero," shared the wife of the fallen. The defender was buried in the village of Orynyn in Khmilnytskyi region. He left behind his parents, younger brother, daughter and pregnant wife at the time of his death.
