Oleh V. Khmil (Yeher)

Senior soldier Oleh Khmil (call sign Yager) was killedon January 27, 2023 while defending the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 40 years old. Oleh was born and lived in Lviv. He studied at secondary school No. 92. He was engaged in jewelry art, was a private entrepreneur. He was passionate about mountaineering, hunting and fishing. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man stood up to defend his family and his native country. He fought in the ranks of the 125th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Heroes die. The best die. That's what you were to all of us. You were a loving husband, dad, son and brother, a friend, a faithful comrade. Why were you taken from us, Oleshenka? My dear, how we all love you, rest in peace. Lord, receive Oleshenka's soul into Your kingdom! Rest in God, our Hero!" - wrote Irena Khmil, the mother of Oleh's children. "Oleh Khmil is a true Hero who was killedin battle for Ukraine. For our victory, he gave the most precious thing - his life... He will forever remain in our hearts... His charming smile is always before our eyes... Oleh was a very kind and sensitive person. And that's how he will remain in our memory," said a close person Yana. The defender was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in his native Lviv. Oleh is survived by his parents, sister, four children, nephew, close ones and friends.
