Oleh V. Klubov (Klub)

Sergeant Oleg Klubov (call sign Club) was killed on August 18, 2023, during assault operations near the village of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. The defender was 54 years old. Oleg was born in the village of Peliukhivka in the Chernihiv region. He studied at the Budian and Druzhbynska schools. He then enrolled at the Nizhyn Cultural and Educational College, where he obtained the profession of a club worker. He served his military service and then studied in Kyiv as a carpenter-finisher. He worked in construction. After returning to Peliukhivka, he found a job in the forestry industry, where he worked for 10 years. Then he moved back to the capital and worked for the Kyivmetrobud company. In 2015-2016, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. He held the position of a machine gunner and fought in the Donetsk region. After returning from the war, he was employed by the Pidzembud company in Kyiv. In his free time, he helped his elderly mother with household chores and loved to go hunting. On September 19, 2022, he was drafted into military service with the 1st Separate Tank Brigade, where he served as a reconnaissance platoon member of the anti-tank missile battalion. He defended Ukraine in the Donetsk and Zaporizhia directions. The defender was buried on August 24, 2023, in his native village. Oleg is survived by his mother, wife, brother, and two sons.
