Sergeant Oleg Lopukhov (call sign Talent) was killed on July 9, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers in the area of the village of Dementiivka in Kharkiv region. During the advance to the position, the unit of Ukrainian defenders came under mortar fire from Russian occupiers. The warrior was 37 years old. Oleg was born in the village of Rozdolne, Kherson region. He received secondary education. He lived in Kyiv with his family. He was fond of photography, drawing, playing the guitar and singing. He stu at the Kyiv School of Photography, was a photographer. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man stood up to defend the capital. He joined the 241st separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the chief sergeant of the platoon. Together with his comrades, he defended Kyiv and the region, and then went to Kharkiv region. "This person is a talent. His inner beauty was manifested in many things: from the ability to catch moments in everyday life, fix-photograph or draw them to playing the guitar and singing. Oleg very much loved to perform romances under the guitar. A person who never sat in one place, went forward and led others. His singing under the guitar on one of the difficult days is what impressed me and all comrades so much that I still remember that moment with a tremble in my soul. You are our comrade, our friend, our brother, our talented angel. We will never forget you," said a comrade of the deceased with the call sign Pole. "When we found out that there would be a combat exit of the battalion, Olezhka was the first in the platoon to say that he was going. And called on everyone to volunteer to go "to zero". He was a person of justice and always got very nervous when someone was offended or someone did something unfair. Among comrades, he was an authority and always tried to be the best of the best," said comrade Vins. "In the photo - Oleg a few hours before that battle, when his life was cut short. Look into his eyes...", added comrade Vadimich. The defender was buried at the Baikove cemetery in Kyiv. Oleg left behind a wife, relatives, friends and comrades. Posthumously, Sergeant Oleg Lopukhov was awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine".
