Oleh V. Perch (Did)

Senior Sergeant Oleg Perch (call sign Grandfather) was killed in action on June 30, 2022, in battle with Russian occupiers near the village of Vіdrodzhennya in Donetsk region. The fighter was 47 years old. Oleg was from the village of Bakumivka, Kyiv region. He acquired the profession of a welder at the Kyiv Vocational Technical School No. 13. After serving in the army, he decided to sign a contract. He was the commander of the cynological department. In his free time, he was engaged in gardening, growing flowers. In 2015, the man went to defend Ukraine. He served as a tankman in the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. During the full-scale war, Oleg again stood up to defend the country in the ranks of his native brigade, this time as a combat medic. "He was an incredible person - honest, open, brave. Everything that is good and kind in me was instilled by my father," shared the defender's daughter. "Oleg Viktorovich is our Hero. He defended Ukraine and brought victory closer. In order for us to have a peaceful life, he gave up the priceless - his own life. The bright memory of our defender will be preserved and will live in our hearts," noted in the Rokytne community. The serviceman was buried in the village of Sharky, Kyiv region. Oleg's wife Svitlana, daughter Darina, and grandson Oleksandr remained.
