Oleh Yu. Boiko (Boiok)

Soldier Oleg Boiko (call sign Boyok) was killed on May 31, 2023, in the hospital in Dnipro from severe injuries sustained during the defense of Bakhmut in Donetsk region. The defender was 22 years old. Oleg was born in Lozova, Kharkiv region. He graduated from the Lozova branch of the Kharkiv Automobile and Road College. In his free time, he loved to meet with friends and walk with his goddaughter, whom he loved very much. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the young man joined the ranks of the local Territorial Defense Forces. He became a rifleman of the 124th battalion of the 113th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the defense of his native Kharkiv region and then went to Donbas. "A bright, always smiling person who always came to help," said the deceased's sister Svitlana. The defender was buried in his hometown. Oleg left behind a mother, sister, girlfriend, and a child he never got to see.
