- Combat medic Oleg Perekhoda (call sign Doc) was killed on June 17, 2022 near the village of Dolyna in the Donetsk region. While rescuing a comrade, he sustained fatal injuries during enemy shelling. He turned 30 in May. Oleg was born and lived in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at the Terniv Vocational School to become an underground miner. He also graduated from Yuriiv Vocational School No. 81. He served his military service. He had a driver's license and loved driving. He worked as a welder, mechanic, loader, and security guard at various enterprises. His last job was at DTEK "Pavlohradvuhillia", where he worked as an underground miner. He was interested in vehicle repair. He loved singing and playing the guitar. While studying, he created a rap band "Cerberus" with two friends. He dreamed of starting his own business. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Joint Forces Operation in Donbas. During training, he jumped with a parachute, which later became his hobby. During the full-scale war, he defended his homeland in the ranks of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a combat medic of the platoon of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. "Oleg was very open and sociable. His willpower, positivity, and charming smile inspired everyone around him. He was very worried about his comrades and treated everyone with understanding. A wonderful dad, a loving husband, and the best friend," said the widow of the fallen Maryna. "My brother was always a decent, polite, and kind person. He never refused to help anyone. He always supported and helped everyone. Oleh is a person from whom one wants to take an example. He was purposeful and achieved his goal. He was so positively charged that one never wanted to be sad next to him. Even when something unpleasant happened to him, he smiled and did not show what was on his mind. He did not like to upset anyone. His cheerful smile will forever remain in our memory," added his sister Yulia. The soldier was buried on the Alley of Glory in his hometown. At home, Oleg was awaited by his mother, sister, wife, and daughter. Posthumously, Sergeant Oleg Perekhoda was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
