- Oleg Zinoviyovych Boyko was born on April 14, 1989, in the village of Perehynske, Rozhniativ district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In May 2022, Junior Sergeant Oleg Boyko was called up to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for mobilization. Since June 5, 2022, the border guard was part of a combined unit under the operational command of the commander of the 11th border detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. According to combat orders, Oleg Boyko served in one of the key areas of Donetsk region, where the unit was under constant fire from the armed forces of the Russian Federation. On June 28, 2022, the occupiers began shelling the positions of Ukrainian border guards with multiple rocket launchers, large-caliber artillery, mortars, and automatic grenade launchers in the area of the village of Solodke in Donetsk region. When the enemy launched an offensive, the border guards timely noticed its approach, despite the heavy fire. Oleg Boyko cold-bloodedly inflicted fire damage on the enemy's manpower. Risking his life and health, he assisted in evacuating wounded comrades to the evacuation point. Unfortunately, while providing aid to his comrades, Oleg was injured by the explosion of an enemy mine, resulting in wounds incompatible with life. For his personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for his loyalty to the military oath, Junior Sergeant Oleg Zinoviyovych Boyko was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
