- Officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksa Musaiev was killed on August 17, 2023, in battle with the occupiers in the Bakhmut direction. The defender was forever 46 years old. Oleksa was born in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region. He studied at the local school No. 10 and a vocational school. In 2000, he graduated from the Military Institute of the Executive Engineering Staff of the National Defense Academy of Ukraine with a degree in "Automobiles and Automotive Industry". From 2000 to 2004, he served in the military in Odesa and Zaporizhzhia. After his dismissal, he was employed at the Elopak enterprise, where he worked until the full-scale invasion. In 2015-2017, he took part in the ATO in Donbas. On the first day of the full-scale war, Oleksa returned to service to defend Ukraine from the occupiers again. At first, he served in a separate battalion, and from the autumn of 2022 he became a fighter of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. There, the man commanded a platoon. "Oleksa... Checkpoint. From the first days of our joint work, we felt that with you it was reliable. How we don't want to lose such people!" wrote the deceased's acquaintance Iryna Prylipko. The officer was buried at the Zavokzalnyi cemetery in his hometown. Oleksa is survived by his mother, sister, wife, and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
