Oleksandr A. Antoniuk

Soldier Oleksandr Antoniuk was killed on April 2, 2023 near the village of Makiivka in the Luhansk region. While performing his duties, he came under enemy mortar fire and received fatal injuries. The defender was 39 years old. Oleksandr was from the village of Lopavshi in the Rivne region. In 2001, he graduated from Khrinnitska secondary school. He was engaged in entrepreneurial activities, then started working at the Khrinnitskyi carpentry workshop and went abroad to earn money. In his free time, he loved fishing and playing football. In December 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front to defend his family and home. He served in the 106th separate brigade of territorial defense. He held the position of rifleman in the 88th battalion. "He was a good son, the best dad, a loving husband, a good brother. Sensitive, he always helped everyone. Everyone loved him because he never offended anyone. He was compassionate towards older people," said the mother of the fallen Olha Volodymyrivna. He was buried in the cemetery in his native village of Lopavshi. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his parents, wife, son and daughter. The soldier was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
