Oleksandr A. Berikul (Barmen)

44-year-old soldier Oleksandr Berikul (call sign Barman) was killed on December 7, 2023 in the area of the village of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region. He received fatal injuries during a mortar attack while saving a comrade. Oleksandr was born in the village of Oleksandrivka, Mykolaiv region. He obtained the profession of a welder at the Voznesensk Vocational Lyceum. He worked as a driver all his life. He loved cars, technology and fishing. In September 2023, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. He held the position of a rifleman-medic. "He is the best. I will remember him forever. Thank him for our family and children. He is our Hero!" - said the wife of the deceased Olena. The military was buried in his native village. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his wife and two children.
