Oleksandr A. Bielousov (Kot)

41-year-old soldier Oleksandr Bilousov (call sign Cat) was killed on March 29, 2022, near the village of Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region. He was wounded while carrying out a combat mission. Due to the inability to transport him, he was left behind by his comrades, who hoped to return quickly, but this did not happen. He was considered missing until October 2023, when DNA test results confirmed his death. Oleksandr was from the Odesa region. He graduated from a vocational school and mastered the profession of tractor mechanic. He worked in his specialty at the "BON" farm. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought for his Motherland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a machine gunner in the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. "He was always ready to help anyone, just a good person," said Vladyslava Orlynska, a friend of the deceased's family. "Oleksandr's death is not only the pain of the family, it is the pain of the entire community, it is the pain of the whole country. A true patriot, a faithful defender of Ukraine. This is how he will forever remain in our memory, and his name will forever be an example of courage, patriotism, and indomitability. Eternal memory to the Hero!" added the Liubashivka community. The defender was buried in his native village of Archepytivka in the Odesa region. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his son and daughter.
