Biography
Hrytsenya Oleksandr Anatoliyovych was born on September 28, 1993, in the village of Tsuman, Kivertsi district, Volyn region. As a child, he moved to Rozdilna in the Odesa region with his parents. From 2011, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in military unit A3009 in Simferopol. In 2012, he was promoted to the rank of junior sergeant. After completing his military service, he worked as a district police officer in his native village. Since 2015, he has participated in the war in eastern Ukraine. He held the position of senior scout, gunner in the 130th separate reconnaissance battalion. After demobilization, he lived in Rozdilna. After the start of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr Hrytsenya was one of the first to volunteer for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the 32nd Rocket Artillery Regiment as a platoon guard company commander. In the spring of 2022, together with two comrades, he held the "Tartuga" position (27th post) for 2 months. On February 6, 2023, at the "Kaban" position, Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Hrytsenya destroyed an enemy tank with an RPG-7, hit a forest belt where Russian infantry was located, then attempted to hit an enemy BMP, but received a fatal explosive shrapnel wound. At the cost of his own life, he protected his comrades and enabled the position to be held until reinforcements arrived.Burial place
