- 43-year-old soldier Oleksandr Liashkevych (call sign Kyi) was killed on August 20, 2023 in the area of the village of Ivanivske, Donetsk region. During the assault, the defender sustained a mine and explosive injury. Oleksandr was born in Kyiv. He graduated from specialized secondary school No. 296. Later, he studied at the Academy of Municipal Management, majoring in Jurisprudence. Since 2019, he has been living in the village of Khotiv, Kyiv region. He worked in a furniture store. He was fond of sports, particularly boxing and martial arts. He loved his family very much. On May 15, 2023, Oleksandr was mobilized into the ranks of the 95th Separate Airmobile Brigade. He underwent training at a training ground in the United Kingdom. After returning to Ukraine, he was transferred to the 80th Separate Airmobile Brigade. He held the position of a grenade launcher. Together with his comrades, he fought in the Bakhmut direction. "Oleksandr was extraordinarily brave, courageous, strong and fair," said the defender's wife, Kristina Sinkevych. The hero was buried in the village of Khotiv, Kyiv region. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, wife, and two sons.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
