Graduated from the Hadyach Vocational School as a tractor driver-meliorator. From 1983 to 1985, he served his mandatory military service in Desna, where he was an instructor in the 300th Training Tank Regiment, training tank drivers who were then immediately sent to Afghanistan. After the army, he began working at the Poltava locomotive depot, initially as an assistant driver on passenger and freight trains, and later as a locomotive driver. In the late 1980s, the crew of the train "Kyiv - Poltava" prevented a major railway accident, where only the locomotive and a few cars derailed, and there were no casualties; Oleksandr was awarded a state monetary prize. Mobilized on August 9, 2014, he served in the 16th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion "Poltava" on the border with Transnistria, and in December he entered the ATO zone, serving in Shchastia, Svatove, and Zaitseve. After demobilization, he returned home, but in February 2016, he signed a contract for further service.Військова служба
