Oleksandr A. Mikhaletskyi (Mikha)

Senior soldier Oleksandr Mikhaletskyi (call sign Mikha) was killed on March 16, 2023 in the area of the village of Novolubivka in the Luhansk region. In a battle with the enemy, he received fatal injuries during an artillery bombardment. The defender was 29 years old. Oleksandr was born in Uman, Cherkasy region. He lived in the Mykolaiv region. He obtained a higher legal education at the Kirovohrad Institute of Regional Management and Economics. He was passionate about football. He worked abroad. He dedicated his free time to his family and friends. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man has been defending his country from the occupiers in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 40th separate artillery brigade named after Grand Duke Vytautas. He held the position of gunner - a member of the artillery platoon crew. "Sashko was a very good person, a patriot, a beloved husband and an infinitely loving father," said the civil wife of the deceased, Tamara Liasota. The warrior was buried at the Bohopilskyi cemetery in the city of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region. Oleksandr left behind a mother, a civil wife and a child who was 1 year and 8 months old at the time of his father's death.
