Oleksandr A. Mykytenko

Soldier Oleksandr Mykytenko was killed on June 22, 2022 while carrying out a combat mission in the Donetsk region. In July, the warrior would have turned 42 years old. Oleksandr was born in Kakhovka, Kherson region. He graduated from Kakhovka Secondary School No. 4. He worked at an advertising agency. He was passionate about photography. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a fighter of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade. He conscientiously and responsibly carried out combat missions at the front. He was a good friend and a reliable comrade-in-arms, with whom it was not scary to go into battle. Oleksandr sincerely believed in victory over the occupiers and dreamed of returning home and living in a free Ukraine. But it was not to be. "You were the best," said the deceased's niece Yulia. The defender was buried at the Krasnopil cemetery in Dnipro. Oleksandr is survived by his father, daughter, sister and nephews.
