- 39-year-old paratrooper Oleksandr Pchelovskyi (call sign Pchola) was killed on August 6, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Dolyna in Donetsk region. Oleksandr was born in the village of Bezpechna, Zhytomyr region, into a family of gas workers. He stu at the Nemirov Construction Technical School. He received his higher education at the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, at the Institute of Postgraduate Education. He worked in the gas supply management of the city of Chudniv, and later in the city of Liubar. He was engaged in agriculture, was a good farmer, the best husband and father of two children. In 2015, as part of the 13th separate assault battalion of the 95th brigade, he participated in the ATO. During that period, Oleksandr was awarded the President of Ukraine's distinction "For participation in the anti-terrorist operation". A year later, the defender returned to civilian life. When the full-scale war began, Oleksandr worked abroad. However, on February 26, 2022, he returned to his homeland and immediately went to his native 95th brigade. Together with his comrades-in-arms, Pchola again set out to defend Ukraine from Russian occupiers. According to the staffing table, he was a driver, but performed the duties of a platoon commander. In March, he was injured near the village of Makariv in the Kyiv region. After treatment, he returned to his comrades-in-arms, who were then defending the Izium-Sloviansk direction. In April, he again ended up in the hospital - this time with a concussion. In June, Pchola was injured again. But every time he returned to his comrades-in-arms, because they became his second family. On August 6, 2022, the fighters of his platoon were performing a combat mission near the village of Dolyna in Donetsk region. In a close combat, Oleksandr received severe injuries from firearms. His comrades-in-arms tried to quickly evacuate him, but, unfortunately, Oleksandr could not be saved. "He was the youngest among us three. He was the best, responsible, fair, good, cheerful, a real friend. And most importantly - a real patriot, a sincere Ukrainian, who was not afraid to look into the eyes of the enemy," said Oleksandr's older sister Svitlana. "Many people knew and respected him, his comrades-in-arms said that such a comrade, like him, you will not find... I am proud that so many people knew him as a wonderful person and remembered him as a Hero! My father never told us anything so that we would not worry, and always asked more about us, how we were at home. He scolded me for not taking care of my health, and worried that everything would be fine... Dad... What now? Because you wanted to give us the best, you were almost never at home... We had little of you, and now... And how now? Sorry that we rarely told you that we love you, but you know...," wrote Oleksandr's daughter. The defender was buried in the city of Chudniv, Zhytomyr region, at the new cemetery, starting the Alley of Glory. Oleksandr left behind his brother Andrii, sister Svitlana, wife Nataliia, son Mykola, and daughter Oleksandra.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
