Oleksandr A. Shatylo

Olexandr Anatoliyovych Shatilo was born on February 27, 1984, in the village of Ivanivka, Malynskyi District, Zhytomyr Region. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was called up for mobilization as a priority. He served in the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He held the position of a shooter - assistant grenade launcher of the 3rd Air Assault Platoon of the 5th Air Assault Company of the 2nd Air Assault Battalion. He was killed on March 12, 2022, in the town of Makariv, Kyiv Region, as a result of an airstrike and shelling. Olexandr Shatilo was buried on March 17, 2022, in his native village of Ivanivka, Malynska City Territorial Community. For his personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and his loyalty to the military oath, Olexandr Anatoliyovych Shatilo was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
