Oleksandr A. Tkachenko (Sievas)

Sergeant Alexander Tkachenko (call sign Sevas) was killed on November 9, 2023, while performing a combat mission in Shostka, Sumy region. The warrior was 34 years old. Alexander was born in Sevastopol. He obtained the profession of a hairdresser, and later entered the "Zhytomyr Polytechnic" for the specialty "Management", but did not graduate from the university. In 2013, he began service in the Marine Corps. After the occupation of his native Crimea, he moved to Mykolaiv. He participated in the war in the East. After the end of the contract, he moved to Irpin in the Kyiv region. In his free time, he loved to engage in free diving and go hunting. During the full-scale invasion, he joined the defense of the Kyiv region. He was the commander of the 1st assault platoon of the volunteer company-tactical group "Irpin", took part in the liberation of the city. After the liberation of the Kyiv region from the occupiers, he joined the ranks of the Security Service of Ukraine. He was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. He was very calm, balanced, and patient. At the same time, he was quite disciplined, strict, authoritative and demanding at work," said his wife Valentyna Tkachenko. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Memory of the Defenders of Ukraine cemetery in Irpin. Alexander is survived by his wife and three daughters.
