- Sergeant Oleksandr Tucha (call sign Doc Kai) was killed on January 20, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Ternivka in the Donetsk region. The defender's life was cut short by an enemy tank shelling. In December, the warrior turned 49 years old. Oleksandr was a native of the Kharkiv region. He graduated from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics with a degree in Electronic Devices and Appliances. He worked as an electrical engineer. He was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity. In 2015, he joined the Zmiyiv detachment of the Territorial Defense Forces, underwent training as a shooter-medic and paramedic. In 2017, he signed a contract as a reservist with the 121st Zmiyiv battalion of the 113th Territorial Defense Brigade. In the summer of 2021, he completed a tactical medicine course with the Hospitallers, and in the fall he went with them on a rotation to the area of the Joint Forces Operation near Mariupol. On the morning of February 24, 2022, Oleksandr went to the location of the 120th battalion of the 113th Territorial Defense Brigade in Kharkiv. He was appointed to the position of combat medic of the platoon. He defended the Kharkiv region. Later, he took part in battles in the Donetsk region. In early July, he transferred to the 49th separate rifle battalion "Carpathian Sich" as a senior shooter. "I consider my husband a great patriot of Ukraine, a man with a big Ukrainian heart. Doc Kai always acted with honor, had a strong character and valued Cossack freedom. He was a worthy son of his people, valued a good name, glory, was courageous and brave, went to self-sacrifice. Loyalty and keeping one's word are inherent in him. Glory to the Hero!" - said the wife of the fallen warrior. The defender was buried in the city of Pervomaisky in the Kharkiv region. Oleksandr is survived by his father Anatoliy, his wife Maryna, and his daughter Veronika.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
