- Baliyos Oleksandr Borysovych was born on July 8, 1985, in the village of Staromlynivka, Volnovakha District, Donetsk Oblast. In 2010, he graduated from the Donbas National Academy of Construction and Architecture. Oleksandr Baliyos began his military career in 2019. In this short time, he established himself as a dedicated soldier to the military oath, always responsibly and diligently fulfilling his professional duties. Starting from February 24, 2022, like many other servicemen of our state, he bravely took a stand to defend it from the Russian occupier. Oleksandr Borysovych, as part of a consolidated group of servicemen from the "Yalta" Border Guard Service, the "Novotroitske" Rapid Response Border Command, the Border Guard Service (Type C) of the 1st Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the 12th Operational Brigade named after Dmytro Vyshnevetsky of the National Guard of Ukraine, carried out combat missions to repel and deter the aggression of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and illegal armed formations in the village of Staryi Krym, Mariupol District, Donetsk Oblast. Under intense mortar and tank shelling, the serviceman bravely and heroically held back the enemy's advance. Risking his life multiple times, Oleksandr Borysovych diligently performed combat tasks. On March 3, 2022, while at defensive positions of the company stronghold, during enemy shelling, Chief Sergeant Oleksandr Baliyos received shrapnel wounds incompatible with life. For personal bravery and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath, Chief Sergeant Baliyos Oleksandr Borysovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
