- 27-year-old marine Oleksandr Hrebeniuk (call sign Anubis) died on December 21, 2023 in a hospital in Mykolaiv. On December 12, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Tyahynka in the Kherson region, he suffered an explosive injury during an enemy air strike. He was hospitalized unconscious - the defender never regained consciousness from the coma. Oleksandr was born in Novomyrhorod, Kirovohrad region. After school, he graduated from the Odesa College of Professional Technologies. Later, he received a higher education at the Kharkiv University of Railway Transport. He was a railway track fitter by profession. For the next five years, he worked at the Odesa railway depot. When he met his beloved Karina, he also started working nights at the "Nova Poshta" (New Post). He wanted to earn money for the wedding. However, the two jobs exhausted him, so he quit after 7 months. But in 2021, after the birth of his daughter, he returned to the post office. He was passionate about technology, science fiction and history, loved to relax with his family in nature, and was interested in numismatics. In January 2023, the man decided to go to the front. He held the position of UAV operator in the 137th battalion. He fought in the Donetsk and Kherson regions. During his service, he received honorary awards and decorations. "Oleksandr was the best husband and father. He loved his family very much, was a reliable friend, comrade and brother-in-arms. He was proud to defend his Motherland," his wife Karina said. The warrior was buried in his hometown. He left behind his parents, wife and daughter, who was 2 years old at the time of his death.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
