Oleksandr was a native of Khotin, Chernivtsi region. After school, he mastered the profession of a cook at the Stavchany Vocational Lyceum. In 1997-1999 he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, he served under contract for some time and was discharged. In civilian life, he worked various jobs, mostly abroad. He was married, and devoted his free time to his family and loved ones, whom he valued above all else in life. In June 2020, the man went back to contract service. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation as part of the 87th separate airmobile battalion (military unit A2582) of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of commander of the grenade launcher platoon of the fire support company. With the start of the full-scale war, as part of his unit, he continued to defend his native country from the Russian occupiers. "Oleksandr was a true warrior. A patriot, an example of indomitability and courage. He wanted his family to live in a wonderful and egalitarian country. We are proud to have such a father, beloved husband and grandfather - a Hero.
