- 47-year-old Sergeant Oleksandr Hidzil (call sign Hoffman) died on July 16, 2023 near the village of Andriivka in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of a tank shell hit. Oleksandr was born and lived in Kyiv. He graduated from school No. 112. Then he obtained a bachelor's degree at the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management. He worked in the printing industry, and for over 20 years was an employee of the commercial firm "MacHouse". His last position was the head of the sales department for paints and consumables. He loved photography, was passionate about traveling and fishing. With the start of the full-scale war, the man went to the front as a volunteer. He served in the 401st separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a squad commander. "Oleksandr was a kind, purposeful, ironic person with a keen sense of justice. He was a good father to his children and a caring son to his parents," said his wife Olena. The defender was buried at the Berkovetske cemetery in Kyiv.
