Oleksandr F. Hryhorenko (Kit)

Soldier Oleksandr Hryhoryenko (call sign Kit) died on October 20, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of Novohryhorivka village in the Kherson region. The fighter was 35 years old. Oleksandr was born in Nastashka village, Kyiv region. He graduated from Tarashchansky Agrarian College. He worked in a uranium mine. After getting married, he moved to Berezivka village in the Kirovohrad region. In his free time, he worked on car and machinery repairs and took care of his summer house. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Oleksandr joined the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a driver in the sniper platoon of the fire support company A7344. "The best brother, the loss is irreparable, we do not believe that he is no longer with us. We are waiting for his return. I begged him not to go, honestly. After all, he had not served in the military and had a seriously ill mother, a person with a second-degree disability. He replied that he did not plan to wait for a second Irpin or Bucha at home, but had to protect us from the horde. He always asked on the phone: 'Mommy, just live, wait for me, I will be home soon.' A kind, sensitive friend, a wonderful father, a family man," said the deceased's sister Natalia. The defender was buried in Smolino village in the Kirovohrad region. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, sister, wife, son, and daughter.
