Oleksandr F. Plyska

Sergeant Oleksandr Plyska was killed on March 26, 2023, in battle with the occupiers during an artillery barrage in the area of the village of Berestove in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 39 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Melnytsya, Rivne region. He graduated from school in the village of Stepan. He settled in the city of Sarny. He worked as a general laborer, often as a driver. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) / Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in the Donbas, fought as part of the 2nd Motorized Infantry Battalion "Horyn". He was interested in hunting, fishing, loved working with wood and metal. He adored driving cars and motorcycles. During the full-scale war, Oleksandr fought against the Russian occupiers as part of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of squad commander. "Always positive, easy-going, sociable. He was in a hurry to live, went to war without a summons, although he was disabled. He said: 'I need to help the guys when it's hard.' He loved life, made plans for the future. He will always remain in the memory of all his relatives and friends as a young, energetic, lively person," said the sister of the fallen Larysa. The defender was buried in his native village. Oleksandr is survived by his mother, wife, sister, and brother.
