Oleksandr F. Strapchuk

Born on September 6, 1978, in the city of Netishyn, Khmelnytskyi region. Graduated from a general education school. In the spring of 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 51st Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2331, city of Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Volyn region), then in the 128th Separate Guards Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukacheve, Zakarpattia region). From April 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. At the end of 2014, he served in the area of the city of Debaltseve, Donetsk region. On January 12, 2015, soldier Strapchuk died of a heart attack while on leave in the city of Netishyn after several months of service in the anti-terrorist operation zone. On January 13, 2015, he was buried in the New Cemetery of the city of Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi region.
