Oleksandr H. Anishchenko

Born on December 17, 1969, in the city of Sumy. Graduated from secondary school No. 4 in Sumy. From 1987 to 1993, studied at the Faculty of Physical Education of the Sumy State Pedagogical Institute named after A. S. Makarenko (now Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko). In 1989-1990, worked as a physical education teacher at secondary school No. 4 in Sumy, and from 1990 to 1992, was a firefighter in the militarized fire department No. 7 in Sumy. Since 1993, served in the Security Service of Ukraine. Since 2008, he has been the deputy head of the department of the Center for Special Operations for Counter-Terrorism and Protection of Participants in Criminal Proceedings and Law Enforcement Officers of the SBU in the Sumy region. In February 2014, during the Revolution of Dignity, the fighters of the Sumy special unit "Alpha" were ordered to participate in the operation "Boomerang." The commander of the Sumy special unit "Alpha," Oleksandr Anishchenko, refused to carry out the criminal order and wrote a report for resignation. After the change of power in the country, it was decided to keep him in service. Since April 15, 2014, he has been performing the duties of the head of the department of the Center for Special Operations for Counter-Terrorism and Protection of Participants in Criminal Proceedings and Law Enforcement Officers of the SBU in the Sumy region. Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine. He was buried on May 7, 2014, in the Alley of Honorable Citizens at the Central Cemetery in Sumy.
