- Soldier Oleksandr Rashchupkin (call sign Cook) was killed on April 8, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 32 years old. Oleksandr was born and lived in Starokostiantyniv, Khmilnytskyi region. He studied at school No. 4. In 2012, he graduated from the Khmilnytskyi Institute of Social Technologies of the University of Ukraine with a bachelor's degree in finance and credit, with knowledge of a foreign language. In civilian life, he worked as a sales manager for household appliances. He did not have a family of his own, but adored his nieces and godchildren. He loved life and everything around him. He had many friends with whom he spent all his free time. In 2021, the man went on a contract military service to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 44th Artillery Brigade named after Danylo Apostol. From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he defended the Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia directions. Later, he was transferred to the 109th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss". He took part in the defense of the Bakhmut district and in the assault on the positions of the occupiers. "My Sanka was a bright and kind person who loved the whole world, his older brother Petro, his father, his nephews, and most of all - his late mother. The last video that was downloaded from the Internet to his phone was titled 'Remember me alive.' As many years as I have, that's how long you will live in my heart..." wrote the warrior's older sister Olha. The hero was buried in his hometown. Oleksandr is survived by his father, sister, brother, and nephews.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
