Oleksandr H. Skobeliev (Shustryi)

Sergeant Oleksandr Skobeliev (call sign Shustry) was killed on April 4, 2023, in a battle for the city of Soledar in the Donetsk region. The life of the warrior was cut short by enemy tank fire. The defender was forever 45 years old. Oleksandr was originally from Russia, but in early childhood, he moved with his family to the city of Torez in the Donetsk region. There he finished school and obtained a welding profession at a vocational school. He served his military service and then moved to Kyiv. He loved nature, fishing, and relaxing with friends and family. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man took up arms and went to war. He served in the ranks of the separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Sashunya was cheerful, reliable, and punctual. He was the best. Without him, it's as if life has stopped... We miss him very much and love him. Heroes never die! Rest in peace, our dear Angel..." - wrote the wife of the fallen defender. Oleksandr was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. At home, his wife Olena and daughters Alina and Karina were waiting for him.
