- 39-year-old fighter Oleksandr Zyska (call sign Baghdad) died on August 25, 2023 in a battle near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. He received fatal injuries as a result of a cumulative missile hitting the Bradley combat vehicle. Oleksandr was from the city of Bohodukhiv in the Kharkiv region. He graduated from the local school No. 2. Then he obtained vocational education at the vocational school No. 51. He served in the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chernihiv region. In civilian life, he was engaged in construction. He loved to travel. In 2014, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the military commissariat. In 2015, he signed a contract. He took part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. After demobilization, he worked at the MK "Miasnyi" factory, then again engaged in construction. In 2022, during the full-scale war, Oleksandr was mobilized. He served in the 47th separate mechanized brigade "Mahura". He went to Germany for training to master the M2 Bradley combat vehicle. Then he took the position of deputy commander, gunner-operator of the combat vehicle. "The best, kind, loving man and father. We cannot come to terms with this grief. We are waiting for a call and a meeting. It is unbelievable, we are grieving..." shared the wife of the deceased Olena. Oleksandr was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in his hometown. The warrior is survived by his mother, wife, son, brother and sister. The posthumous military rank of junior sergeant was awarded to the soldier.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
