- Soldier Oleksandr Avramenko (call sign Abrams) was killed on April 12, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Berdychi in the Donetsk region. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of artillery shelling. Oleksandr was 42 years old. He was born in the village of Danino in the Chernihiv region. He completed 6 grades at the local school, and then studied at the Pryputnivska Secondary School of I-II Levels. After the 9th grade, he enrolled in the Ichnianskyi Professional Agrarian Lyceum, where he obtained the qualifications of a tractor-machine operator in agricultural production and a vehicle driver. During his studies, he worked as a combine harvester assistant. He then served in the military, holding the position of a driver-mechanic in the missile troops. Later, he worked at "Kyivmetrobud" and "Kyivmistobud". In 2005, he got married. The family has a son named Oleksandr and a daughter named Yulia. He lived with his family in the village of Burimka. In civilian life, he worked at the "Krupychpole" agricultural cooperative, then at LLC "Agrikor Holding", holding the positions of a tractor driver at LLC "Agrofirma "Nadiia" and a tractor-machine operator in agricultural production at LLC "Ichnianskyi". He enjoyed hunting and car repair. On February 24, 2022, he was called up for service. He defended Ukraine near Kyiv, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka. He was a rifleman-electrician in the 119th separate brigade of territorial defense. He was awarded the Medal of Valor. "Oleksandr was a kind, sensitive, loving husband, a sincere, honest and reliable friend, a responsible colleague at work. He always came to help," said his wife Vira. The hero was buried in the village of Burimka, Chernihiv region. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, sister, wife, and two children.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
