Defender Oleksandr Bohomazov was killed on October 27, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Spirne in the Donetsk region. The life of the fighter was cut short by an enemy missile. Oleksandr was born and lived in Kharkiv. After school, he graduated from Kharkiv Construction College No. 2. He served his conscription in the airborne assault troops. He worked as a builder. He loved nature and fishing. During the full-scale war, the man stood up to defend his native country from the Russian invaders. He served in the ranks of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. "Oleksandr was a kind and decent person. He was left without parents at an early age and went through many trials in life. He achieved everything himself. He had a good heart. He always helped others, was a good comrade. The son will be proud of his father-Hero," said the late's ex-wife Natalia. Oleksandr was buried on the Alley of Glory in his native Kharkiv. The serviceman left behind a son, Vladyslav.
