Oleksandr I. Chaplynets

43-year-old soldier Oleksandr Chaplynets was killed on June 16, 2023 near the village of Pyatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region. During the performance of a combat mission, he was blown up by an enemy anti-tank mine and received fatal injuries. Oleksandr was born in the city of Iziaslav, Khmilnytskyi region. He studied at the Dviretska school. In 1998, he graduated from the Bazaliyskyi Vocational Lyceum No. 3 and obtained the profession of a carpenter and carpenter. He loved to engage in beekeeping, had several hives, and took care of them himself. He also loved working with wood. Before the invasion, he worked at LLC "Arta-Khimhrup". During the full-scale war, in August 2023, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 128th separate mountain assault Transcarpathian brigade. He held the position of a mechanic-driver. "From childhood, Oleksandr was a support for his relatives. Like all children, he attended kindergarten, then school, and then studied to be a mason and dreamed of a happy future. He got married, had two sons: Bohdan and Artem. They were happy until the evil enemies invaded our country. Oleksandr did not remain aloof and went to defend his family and each of us! Bohdan and Artem, at the ages of 17 and 15, were left without a father, whom they were waiting for so much at home. He honorably and with dignity fulfilled his duty as a citizen of Ukraine and a patriot in defense of his state," the deceased's relatives wrote. The defender was buried in his hometown. Oleksandr is survived by his mother, wife, and two sons.
