Oleksandr I. Lehutskyi (Modzhakhed)

46-year-old senior soldier Oleksandr Lehutskyi (call sign Mojahed) was killed in action on March 12, 2022 near the village of Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. During the enemy artillery shelling, a shell hit the tank in which he was. Oleksandr was born in the village of Verkhnyokamyanske, Donetsk region. He studied at Siverskе vocational school No. 145 as an electric and gas welder. He worked at the collective agricultural enterprise "Druzhba" in his native village, at the company "Spektrstroi" in Lysychansk, and at "Ukrnaftohazbud". For some time he was a welder at the Ilyich plant in Mariupol. Since 2014, he has been participating in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought in the ranks of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Vladimir Monomakh. He carried out combat missions in the eastern direction of the front. "My father was not afraid of death at all, he always courageously and silently coped with any difficulties. When asked how he was doing, he would answer without hesitation that everything was fine, although we heard that a battle was going on nearby. Dad never complained about his life. He was an optimist and rejoiced in every moment, and he taught his children the same. He will forever remain in our hearts as a bright person with a kind heart, a true hero and patriot of his country," said Tetiana Lehutska. Oleksandr left behind three children: daughters Tetiana and Daryna, and son Artur.
