- 33-year-old soldier Oleksandr Nahornyi (call sign "Bronya) was killed on February 10, 2023 near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. During the evacuation of wounded comrades from the battlefield, the armored personnel carrier (APC) driven by Oleksandr was blown up by an enemy mine. Oleksandr was born in the village of Ocheretyne in the Donetsk region. He obtained a higher education in finance in Kramatorsk. He practiced boxing for some time. He loved fishing and going on nature trips with his family. He was involved in construction for a long time. Later, he moved with his family to the Kharkiv region. He worked as a shop foreman at the local confectionery factory "Sakharok". During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He was a driver. "I have never met a person with such a kind soul... He said: 'If I can do something for the victory, I will do it. I don't want my son to go to war in 7 years. I want to live in Ukraine with my family, so I have to go.' He is our Hero," said the fighter's wife, Viktoria.
