Oleksandr I. Olishchuk (Kyslyi)

Soldier Oleksandr Olishchuk (call sign Kyslyi) was killed on May 21, 2023 near the village of Berestove in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy mortar shelling. The warrior was forever 28 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Kulchyny, Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from a rural school. Then he obtained the profession of a passenger car conductor at the Zhmerynka vocational school. He did not work in his profession, as he had been a builder since the age of 17. During the full-scale war, the man unhesitatingly took up the defense of his native country from the occupiers. He served in the motorized infantry battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade "Edelweiss". "Sasha was a very kind person and a faithful husband who cherished his family and adored his sons. He always came to everyone's aid, always cared for and supported everyone, was positive, and gathered friends around him," said the fighter's wife Karyna. "Sasha was a very good child and person, he loved life very much. He promised me that he would return a hero, but I did not think it would be at such a price," added his mother Olha. "Sashko was a very loyal friend who would never let you down or betray you. He always came to help at any time. It's rare to find such a friend," his friends said. The defender was buried in his native village of Kulchyny. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, sister, wife and two sons.
