Oleksandr I. Palchun (Kasper)

Sergeant Oleksandr Palchun (call sign Kasper) died on August 27, 2023, in a Kyiv hospital from wounds sustained during assault operations in the Avdiivka direction. In September, the defender would have turned 37 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Buhayivka in the Poltava region. He graduated from school with honors. He loved cars and knew how to repair them. That's why he worked as a driver. After the start of the full-scale war, he joined the defense of the country as part of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. "There are few like him on earth, he was a fighter for justice. He never left anyone in trouble and helped everyone. A loving son, the best brother and uncle," wrote his sister Marharyta about the fallen soldier. The defender was buried in his native village in the Poltava region. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, sister, and nephews.
