- 28-year-old Senior Sergeant Oleksandr Yehorov (call sign Mukha) was killed on May 8, 2023, in battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. While rescuing a wounded comrade who was receiving medical assistance, he freed up a space in the shelter. However, he sustained a fatal injury as a result of enemy shelling. Oleksandr was from the city of Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region. He graduated from school No. 11 there. He then studied at the Bila Tserkva Technical College. He was passionate about rock music, archery, and interested in computer technology. He was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity. Since 2014, he has been participating in the ATO as part of the Azov regiment. He fought in the Donetsk region and liberated Mariupol. In 2016, he underwent training at the military school named after Colonel Yevhen Konovalets and received the rank of sergeant. Since 2020, he has been an instructor for training fighters in the National Corps. At the start of the full-scale war, Oleksandr went to Kyiv, where he was appointed commander of a platoon reconnaissance company of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the defense of the capital and the region, for which he was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Kyiv". Later, together with his comrades-in-arms, he went to fight on other sections of the front. "I have the honor to preserve the memory of my student. A true patriot, principled, creative, honest, the pride of the school," said the teacher of the fallen warrior. The soldier was buried in the "Sukhyi Yar" cemetery in his native Bila Tserkva. Oleksandr left behind a fiancée, relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms. The warrior's father was killed in 2019, and his mother was killed 5 months after the death of her son.
