- Soldier Oleksandr Yevtushyn (call sign Killer) was killed on March 21, 2023 in the area of the villages of Zaliznianske and Orikho-Vasylivka in the Donetsk region. The fighter covered an operation to evacuate wounded comrades. He fought to the last breath and was killed with a weapon in his hands. In February, he turned 26 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Tynne, Rivne region. From the age of 4, he lived with his family in Cherkasy region, in the village of Matusiv. After finishing 9 grades of the local school, he entered the Talyanky Vocational College. Then he studied at the Agronomy Faculty of Uman National University of Horticulture. He was engaged in sports. He loved cars. He worked as a mechanic in Kyiv, loved his job, and was a good master. On the first day of the full-scale war, Oleksandr volunteered for the territorial defense of Kyiv. He held the position of a shooter in the 207th separate battalion of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in the cleansing of Irpin and Bucha. Then he underwent training. After successfully passing the exam, he was attached to the Marine Corps group in Bakhmut. There, after successful counteroffensives, he was attached to the Marine Corps group. "An incredible person with a big heart and a kind soul. He never left anyone in trouble, a leader, the best friend, the best brother, the best son. He was a true warrior, a man of his word, a man of courage, an example of indomitability and strength of spirit. Always positive, energetic, full of energy and with a charming smile on his face," said the deceased's classmate Alina. "The best of the best, he was always a leader, the one who was looked up to. I have never seen such a thirst for life in anyone. He will forever remain our Sashko with a broad smile and a kind heart," added another classmate Tamila. The defender was buried in the village of Matusiv, Cherkasy region. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, sister, young son, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
