Oleksandr I. Zaporozhets (Porsh)

Zaporizhzhia Oleksandr Ivanovych was born on May 12, 1976, in the village of Stara Basan, Bobrovytsia district, Chernihiv region. He fought in the operational battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine named after Serhii Kulchytskyi. He died on May 25, 2022. The farewell ceremony for the hero took place in the Church of St. Nicholas at Askold's Grave in Kyiv. He was buried in the cemetery of the Tymky farmstead in the village of Stara Basan. For personal courage and selfless actions displayed in the protection of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath, Zaporizhzhia Oleksandr Ivanovych was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously).
