Biography
Tarasenko Oleksandr Kyrylovych was born on April 12, 1960, in the village of Borysivka, Zaporizhia region. In 1980, he graduated from the Kharkiv State Art College. He then studied for 5 years at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, obtaining a degree in graphics. Since 1985, Oleksandr Tarasenko worked at the Poltava National Technical University. From 1998 to 2014, he headed the Department of Fine Arts. Since 2015, he held the position of associate professor at the Department of Fine Arts at Poltava National Pedagogical University named after V. H. Korolenko, as well as an associate professor at Luhansk National University named after T. H. Shevchenko. In 1997, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor. Oleksandr Tarasenko, from the first days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, went to defend his homeland from the enemy. On March 3, 2022, he received a severe shrapnel wound in battles near the city of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. Despite the efforts of doctors, they were unable to save the defender.Military service
