Oleksandr K. Vasylets

Born on May 8, 1978, in the village of Bohushi, Bereznivskyi district, Rivne region. Completed 9 grades of the general education school in the village of Bohushi and the Sosnivsk Professional Technical School (now the State Professional Technical Educational Institution "Sosnivsk Professional Lyceum") in the urban-type settlement of Sosnove, Bereznivskyi district, Rivne region. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Resided in the village of Kolonshchyna, Makarivskyi district, Kyiv region. In March 2014, mobilized by the Makariv District Military Commissariat of Kyiv region into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a commander of a combat vehicle - squad leader of the 3rd mechanized platoon of the 4th mechanized company of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). Since 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 28, 2014, junior sergeant Vasylets was killed in a nighttime battle with terrorists during a mortar shelling near the checkpoint "Chervonopartyzansk" in Luhansk region. On August 5, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Bohushi, Bereznivskyi district, Rivne region.
