Oleksandr L. Libeha (Rybak)

Soldier Oleksandr Libega was killed on April 24, 2023, while performing his duties in the area of the village of Berestove in the Kharkiv region. The life of the warrior was cut short by enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 27 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Khazhin, Zhytomyr region. He lived in Zhytomyr. He graduated from the Zhytomyr Vocational and Technical School. By profession, he was a builder. Before the war, he worked at the "UkrDakh" company. He dedicated his free time to his family. On February 26, 2022, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 115th separate brigade of territorial defense. He was a rifleman in the 139th battalion. "A loving father and beloved husband who loved life and always strived for more. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he went to defend Ukraine. For his comrades-in-arms, he was a courageous and good friend. He dreamed that his son would live in a free Ukraine, and for this he gave his life," said the deceased's wife, Alina. Oleksandr was buried in his native village. At home, his wife and son were waiting for him. The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
