Oleksandr M. Bohomaz

Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Bohomaz was killed on April 6, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Spirne in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 27 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Ivaniv, Vinnytsia region. He obtained the profession of a welder at Vocational School No. 20. He loved football. He had many plans for life. He found love and planned to get married and start a family. When the full-scale war began, Oleksandr defended Ukraine from the occupiers in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He conscientiously and responsibly carried out combat missions on the front line and above all wanted to return home with victory. He dreamed of embracing his loved ones and living in a peaceful, free Ukraine. "He was a very kind and bright person. He never complained about the difficulties. He dreamed of having a family and children..." said the fiancée of the fallen Anastasia. "Unfortunately, a young life was cut short in the prime of its strength... Oleksandr is a hero who still had so much to do in his life, he became an example of courage and bravery... We express our deepest condolences to the relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms of our defender. In grief and prayer, we bow our heads, honoring the memory of the faithful son of Ukraine. Oleksandr's feat will forever remain in our hearts! Heroes do not die... They leave the battlefield on earth and as angels of light protect their native Motherland and their people from the heavens..." said the Ivaniv community. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his parents, brother and fiancée.
