Oleksandr M. Cheskyi

Born on July 28, 1977, in the village of Dzhuhastrove, Ivanivka District, Odesa Region. Graduated with honors from the general education school in the village of Dzhuhastrove. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On August 1, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a reconnaissance operator in the 28th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0666, the urban-type settlement of Chornomorske, Kominternivskyi District (since 2016 - Lymanskyi District), Odesa Region). Since the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On November 8, 2014, soldier Chesky sustained a severe head injury in battle near the city of Krasnohorivka, Marinka District, Donetsk Region. The serviceman was taken to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I.I. Mechnikov. Doctors fought for his life, but their efforts proved futile. On November 10, 2014, without regaining consciousness, soldier Chesky died. He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Dzhuhastrove, Ivanivka District, Odesa Region.
